Boosting value and lowering operating costs through responsible building

Our customers rely on us to help them achieve their sustainability goals. We have mastered the art of building resource-efficient and environmentally responsible data centres to support their needs.

Our environmental building certifications demonstrate our commitment to responsible data centre development, and we strive to certify all new developments and renovations to recognized building standards. We have completed sustainable building projects throughout our global portfolio, many that have been certified to the highest levels.

Our facilities are built to require fewer construction materials while achieving industry-leading levels of PUE (power usage effectiveness). This lowers their carbon footprint compared to similar data centres.

Since 2007, we have certified over 13 million square feet. More than 60% of our certified projects have received Gold-level and above equivalent ratings. We have achieved over 1 GW-IT of environmental building certifications.

In 2023, we certified four U.S. data centres totalling 1.3 million square feet in accordance with LEED building standards. Our green bond offerings have supported 130 sustainable projects globally, ranging from certified sustainable data centre construction to renewable energy and efficiency projects.
